2019 THOMAS HILL POTTERY, established business and studio - Richmond, IN

  • Private studio openings and sales as well as travel to markets in Indiana and surrounding states 

Studio Assistant for Hitomi and Takuro Shibata - Penland School of Crafts, Penland, NC

  • Experience included assistant teaching, loading and firing various kilns (soda, gas reduction, oxidation), and experimenting with local clay materials testing

Richmond Art Museum (RAM) Kids Camp Instructor - RAM, Richmond, IN

  • Instructed children (age ranging 8-15) during two, one-week long art camps

  • Led activities inspired by local Indiana artist, Robert Indiana and other prevalent artists during the 1950s-1990s

2018 Apprenticeship with potter Nic Collins - Devon, UK

  • Managed the day to day activities of a functioning pottery workshop

  • Attended craft markets to assist in running a sales stand

  • Created a model pottery business plan to be implemented in partnership with a cafe in hopes of increasing appreciation for handmade goods and to affect positive change

  • Assisted in glazing wares, loading, and firing a large Anagama style wood kiln

2017 Teaching Assistant, Metals I - Earlham College, Richmond, IN

  • Worked with students to 3D print and laser cut small projects as well as assist in designing and editing CAD files in Rhinoceros
